FlowGo is a control interface with a difference – it has memory! It connects to the computer and is used in conjunction with the Go Control software to bring real models and children’s creations to life with lights and movement.
While connected to a computer, FlowGo will work like a standard control interface, switching bulbs, buzzers or motors on and off according to the sequence of commands written in a control program.
FlowGo is special because a control program can be downloaded to its memory so that FlowGo can run the program completely independently, whilst disconnected from the computer.
Devices that attach to the FlowGo interface include Models, Outputs (bulbs, buzzers, motors, and LED lights), Inputs (switches e.g. push, light, tilt, proximity and pressure pad) and Sensors (temperature and light) – see Accessories.
If you want to connect your own electrical components then you may find spring connectors or connection leads and connector strips useful.
FlowGo connects to the computer via a USB port.
It can powered either using the 6 V main power supply (supplied with it) or using 6 V batteries connected via the battery snap supplied.
- Digital Inputs and Outputs - all have 4 mm sockets
- 6 Outputs for 6 V bulbs, buzzers, LEDs, etc.
- 2 Motor Outputs – to run motors forwards and backwards and at varying speeds
- 4 Digital Inputs for switches
- 2 Analogue Inputs with 3.5 mm jack sockets for temperature and light sensors
- Supplied with a 6 V, 2 A mains power supply
Although FlowGo is normally used with our Go control software it can be used with Flowol PC Windows (V 2.90 or above), Flowol 3 Mac, Junior Control Insight (V 2.5 or above) and Control Insight (V 2.5 or above).
