Mystrica Colorimeter

Mystrica is a small, robust colorimeter with an LCD.  It can be used on its own or connected to a PC via USB.  Red, green and blue LEDs illuminate the sample in the cuvette.

It has simple push buttons to calibrate the unit, select the LED colour, and set the display to transmittance or absorbance.

Mystrica's software can save the results and display them as a table or a graph.

The colorimeter is supplied with 10 plastic cuvettes with caps, and a plastic cuvette stand.

Applications include:

• Enzyme concentration versus rates of protein, starch and fat breakdown
• Enzyme inhibition
• Lambert Beers law
• Acidic breakdown of sodium thiosulphate
• Quantitative analysis of sugar

When not connected to a computer the colorimeter is powered by 4 AA cells. Battery life is typically 100 hours of continuous use.
