Spectrometer colour samples

This is a set of 6 red and 6 green colour samples, each in a capped, labelled plastic cuvette. The cuvettes are supplied in a polyethylene cuvette holder for convenient handling and storage.

The colour sample set allows the Spectrometer and its software to be demonstrated quickly and conveniently without the need to make up solutions.

As well as a training aid, the colour samples can be used to teach the use of the spectrometer for forensic analysis:

• The shades of red could represent plastic fragments from the rear light of a car that has been involved in a hit and run crash being compared with plastic from particular models of car.
• The shades of green could simulate the difference between genuine Extra Virgin Olive Oil and green dyed rape seed oil.
